Welcome to my website, I hope you enjoy discovering a little more about me and my work.
I specialise in painting colourful skies stretching over coastal headlands with the colours reflected in the sea and wet sand – inspired by my life in Pembrokeshire. My style is bold, expressive, full of movement, shape and texture. I have a passion for rich colour and use this to express feelings in my work.
I paint from the heart.
I am so excited to share my explanation of my work in the Artist Statement below. Check out my Portfolio for images of past and present work.
My Shop is now live, so if you fancy giving yourself a treat or a wonderful present – please take a look. Feel free to share anything you like – it’s great to have the support, thanks.
2023 promises to be a sensational year, with exhibitions in London, St Davids Cathedral, the National Park Gallery in St Davids, Picton Castle, Oriel Q and Tregwynt Mansion. I will be busy completing children’s book illustrations and teaching batik, oil pastels and acrylic painting to Pembrokeshire based art groups.

Gorgeous original artwork inspired by the colour blue
Coastal living is the foundation of my work – whether it be stormy seas, dramatic light and shadow, stretching vistas to the horizon or just my fascination of the natural edges between land and sea. I am surrounded by fresh air and the textures of nature – how can a painter fail to be moved !!
Music is my ‘mood’ inspiration while I paint, to help me capture my emotional response. My work is unlike a photograph – it represents a more personal vision of the subject through the techniques applied, chosen colours and textures. So it should be no surprise to know that the following artists influence my work : Cezanne, Monet, Van Gogh, Chagall, Klimt, Pollock, Matisse & Hundertwasser. I work mostly in oils and acrylics and I always enjoy making the most of a happy accident.
