Description

This piece captures the exhilaration of the clifftop walk between the historic harbour of Porthgain and the shimmering Abereiddi. It is a celebration of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at its most wild and colourful. Rather than traditional greens and browns, this painting uses a bold, contemporary palette to translate the feeling of the hike—the wind-whipped grasses, the sudden drops to the deep Atlantic blue, and the distant silhouette of the watch tower ruins that punctuate this rugged coastline.

The Details

  • The Palette: An electric fusion of magenta, lime green, and sun-drenched ochre, anchored by the deep, resonant blues of the Irish Sea.

  • Technique: Highly expressive, gestural marks that mimic the movement of the coastal breeze. The layering of colors creates a sense of the path winding through a tapestry of wild heather and gorse.

  • The Atmosphere: Brimming with light and movement; it captures the high-energy “buzz” of a summer day on the northern headlands.

Produced using museum quality paper, this print capture the finest details and nuances of the original painting. The smooth texture and vibrant colors add depth and character to any image, making it truly stand out.
