The stoic nature of St Non’s Chapel inspired this view. Oil pastels provided a softer medium to achieve this dramatic image.
The ancient hill of Carn Llidi always seems to watch over the golden sands below. It is a wonderful, magical place to walk. The coastal path from the beach, along the cliffs, following the curve of the hill is breath taking and leads to the burial chamber known locally as the ‘King’s Tomb’. I thought it was very apt to use metallic oils and artist “gold-leaf” to celebrate this place.
